New Year Update

You know that feeling when you've spent far too much time in a cave like room with four other guys, and you open the door for the first time, and the sunlight has its death grip on your ocular nerve?  That's how we feel right now.  Needless to say, we are very excited about the work we've done and can't wait to share it with you.  In the spirit of the new year we have decided to remove our music from those greedy pay sites and give it to you, our dearly devoted fans, for FREE!!!  We don't know how long this will last so follow the link below and get the entire Shallow on the Draft EP for free!

Also: Some amazing friends of ours have worked long hours, days and months to bring these new videos to fruition.  Thanks so very much to David Braun and Chuck Oldfield and all the painstaking work they put into these projects.

2012 is shaping up to be something special for us and we can't wait to share our work with you all!

Let me just start off by saying how much we appreciate the love and support you guys have given to us throughout our time as a band.  Especially over the past three weeks.  If you haven't heard yet we did not move on to the next round of the Rolling Stone contest.  However, be not discouraged on our behalf!  We are happy to have been a part of it at all.  It was amazing to see all our friends, fans, and families rally together in support of what we do.

Right now we are headed down to sxsw in Austin Texas.  We are really looking forward to playing some shows here and then getting on the road for some dates with Foster the People.  Music is life, peace.

The Steelwells are featured in the current issue of Rolling Stone Magazine!  Hit your local supermarket and pick up the new issue of Rolling Stone with Justin Bieber on the cover.  DO IT!

THE COUNTDOWN IS OVER!!

Alright, so check it out. A few months ago we were contacted by Rolling Stone about being part of a group of 16 unsigned bands that would be featured in the magazine and online. After giving it some thought (like 5 seconds or so) we were in. The 16 bands will compete for the cover of Rolling Stone and a record deal with a major label. While it would be nice to win of course we are just really flattered to be a part this whole thing.
